The filter lets you work either with coarse ground coffee, or finer ground versions. Continuing with the theme of convenience, the handles on the side of the appliance have insulation, so you can move the coffee percolator quickly and easily without burning yourself. The lid is also fitted with a knob that is made from plastic so it is also convenient to lift without burning. To show you when the water is hot enough, there are indicator lights on the side so you know exactly when the brewing can begin and, because the percolator stands on four rubber feet, you know it is stable and will remain in firmly in place during use.
Quick to clean and descale

To prevent limescale from affecting the performance of your heating element, it is a good idea to descale the coffee percolator once in a while. Luckily, this is very easy with this appliance. Use a descaling agent or make your own mixture of water and vinegar, and bring the percolator to the boil. Let it soak for 15 minutes and then drain all the water. Lastly, make sure you rinse it well a few times to wash away the vinegar taste and smell. You can also wipe down the outside with a damp cloth and some warm water.
